Jeff joined Compass Analytics as a Managing Director and founded the Washington DC office in 2010. In his current role, Jeff manages teams on the Washington DC and San Francisco trade desks supporting the recently launched CompassEdge Platform, as well as the legacy CompassPoint Hedge System for Optimal Blue.

Colleen Flynn is a Capital Markets Solutions Specialist at Optimal Blue with over 25 years of service in a variety of roles within the mortgage industry including originations, operations, correspondent lending and secondary services.

In her role within Optimal Blue, Colleen supports the Optimal Blue Secondary Services and CompassPoint suites of solutions by providing lenders with the education, consultation and customized solutions for their hedging and pipeline risk management strategies and needs to grow their business.

Michael D. McAuley is a Principal of Garrett, McAuley & Co., a banking and mortgage banking consulting firm that “helps lenders increase revenues, control costs and better manage risk.”

He managed the warehouse lending business for Washington Mutual and JP Morgan Chase and was formerly in mortgage banker finance and lending at the Irving Trust Company and Bank United of Texas. Mike provides consulting services to mortgage bankers, regulators, and other industry professionals, and he has helped commercial banks establish, assess, and improve their mortgage warehouse lending operations. Mike is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.; a past chairman of the RMA Warehouse Lenders Roundtable; and a Graduate with Distinction, Willis Bryant Award finalist, and Lecturer at the School of Mortgage Banking.


Christine PatrunoChristine Patruno

Executive Director, Secondary Market, JP Morgan Chase

Christine is responsible for overseeing pricing decisions and optimizing revenue for the firm.


Christine joined JP Morgan in 2011 and has held various positions in Finance and Capital Market prior to assuming her current role. She began her career as an analysts at a boutique investment bank where she concentrated on M&A transactions. Christine holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University. Christine currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and children.


Seth Sprague, CMBSeth Sprague, CMB

With extensive experience in mortgage banking and mortgage servicing, Seth leads the firm’s Mortgage Banking Consulting Services practice.

He also serves as a strategic leader for the entire Richey May suite of services, including profitability and operational reviews, strategic planning, mortgage servicing rights (MSRs) strategy, retained versus released and cash flow optimization. Drawing on more than 25 years of mortgage banking and mortgage servicing experience, Seth has invaluable expertise and a holistic perspective on the intersection of policy with economic and market conditions and its impact on the mortgage ecosystem. His in-depth background in mortgage strategy, profitability and operations comes at a critical time for our mortgage clients as they continue to navigate the industry’s dynamic environment. Seth is committed to making a positive impact on the mortgage banking and real estate finance industry by being actively involved in key associations and industry events. A sought-after speaker, he often speaks on liquidity and the overall challenges in the mortgage industry. Seth served as chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) Society and currently serves on several MBA committees, including the Financial Management Steering Committee and Secondary & Capital Market Committee. He has also served on the Servicing Council for the 21st Century, BASEL III and the Servicing Compensation Working Group. An instructor for the MBA’s School of Mortgage Banking (SOMB) program since 2007, Seth has taught the “Servicing/MSR Day” curriculum and “The Secondary Market” for the National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA). Seth joined Richey May from the STRATMOR Group where he was a principal. Prior to joining STRATMOR, he was EVP of Trading & Analytics at Phoenix Capital. Prior to Phoenix, Seth was Senior Vice President, Servicing Asset Manager at SunTrust Mortgage for more than 10 years, where he developed and led their servicing rights valuation team. His career also includes accounting, analytics and auditing roles at Bank of America, KPMG LLP and United Financial Inc.
